High Efficiency CAC with Natural Gas Furnace & Natural Gas Furnace
Tier 1 and Tier 2 High-Efficiency Central Air Conditioner with Natural Gas Furnace* (Replacing Central Air Conditioner with Strip Heat) 
 

High-efficiency models have higher SEER and models which use gas and have a high annual fuel utilization efficiency (AFUE) are more efficient than strip heating. 

Applicability

Retrofit installations which replace a central air conditioner with strip heating are eligible for rebate via a post-purchase application process. 

Equipment Eligibility & Rebate Level 

Tier 1: Qualifying split system equipment must meet or exceed 15 SEER, 12 EER, and 80% AFUE. Qualifying single packaged equipment must meet or exceed 15 SEER, 11 EER, and 80% AFUE. Equipment must be purchased as a new unit. To be eligible for a rebate, the installation must be a complete system recognized by AHRI and have an official AHRI rating. Systems that do not have an AHRI rating will not qualify for the rebate since the efficiency cannot be verified by a standardized method. The rebate for Tier 1 High-Efficiency Central Air Conditioner with Natural Gas Furnace is $1,250 per unit. 

Tier 2: Qualifying system equipment must meet or exceed 16 SEER, 12 EER, and 95% AFUE. Equipment must be purchased as a new unit. To be eligible for a rebate, the installation must be a complete system recognized by AHRI and have an official AHRI rating. Systems that do not have an AHRI rating will not qualify for the rebate since the efficiency cannot be verified by a standardized method. The rebate for Tier 2 High-Efficiency Central Air Conditioner with Natural Gas Furnace is $1,400 per unit. 
 

High Efficiency Natural Gas Furnace Replacing Electric Heating Source
Qualifying Equipment must meet or exceed 90% AFUE. Equipment must be purchased as a new unit. To be eligible for a rebate, the installation must be a complete system recognized by AHRI and have an official AHRI rating. Systems that do not have an AHRI rating will not qualify for the rebate since the efficiency cannot be verified by a standardized method. The rebate for High Efficiency Natural Gas Furnaces is $450 per unit.

Items to Submit with Rebate Application 

Dated and detailed sales receipt or invoice, and a copy of a properly calculated cooling load for your home (contact a participating HVAC contractor for this information) 
Model and serial number of both the installed and replaced equipment 
Photos of the unit nameplate for both the installed and replaced equipment
Copy of AHRI Certificate or the AHRI Certificate Number. This number can be provided by the contractor. AHRI Rating can be found here: ahridirectory.org/Search/SearchHome. Search by residential product type.
